Is Synthetic Leather Really Durable? We Clear the Myths

"Synthetic leather will peel in 6 months." "It looks cheap." "It is not durable." We have heard it all. Today, we are busting these myths once and for all.

Myth 1: It Peels Quickly

Truth: Cheap, low-quality faux leather does peel. But premium synthetic leather (like the kind used at Bagstown) uses advanced PU (Polyurethane) coatings that are flexible, crack-resistant, and last for years without peeling.

Myth 2: It Looks Fake

Truth: Modern manufacturing techniques have made it nearly impossible to tell the difference between high-quality synthetic leather and genuine leather just by looking at it. The texture, grain, and finish are incredibly realistic.

Myth 3: It Cannot Handle Rain

Truth: Actually, synthetic leather handles water BETTER than genuine leather. Genuine leather absorbs water and can get damaged, while synthetic leather is naturally water-resistant. Just wipe it dry, and you are good to go.
